Sakura Matsuri is Supported by the Embassy of Japan

On Saturday, 3rd May 2025, the second Sakura Fair, hosted by Nakayoshikai, will be held!

This is a charity market aimed at fundraising to continue the activities of Nakayoshikai, which works to prevent isolation and loneliness in child-rearing among Japanese residents in the UK and to preserve the Japanese language and culture.

This year’s Sakura Fair aims to raise £5,000 to support the operating costs of Nakayoshikai’s toddler group and the parents' group for children with mild developmental differences or school refusal.

Vendors will donate a portion of their sales to Nakayoshikai. Enjoy delicious Japanese food, play Japanese games, and support Nakayoshikai 🌸.

At the first Sakura Fair in 2024, over 1,200 people attended and supported Nakayoshikai.

Due to the unexpectedly large turnout, all food sold out within 1.5 hours, leaving no food available for those who arrived after 1 pm. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience.

For this second event, we have learned from the previous experience and are preparing food for an expected 2,000 attendees. With the ticketing system, we can accommodate more than 2,000 people if necessary.

Additionally, we are doubling the dining area, installing four portable toilets, and improving facilities compared to last time.

Popular activities such as games and face painting will return, along with the tombola!

We look forward to welcoming you to an even better Sakura Fair.
