As the new year begins, our hearts are filled with fresh hopes and energy 🐲
The Nakayoshikai (Good Friends Association) is dedicated to ensuring that Japanese families raising children in the UK lead healthy and happy lives, both physically and emotionally. We engage in various activities to achieve this goal.
Until now, we have organized gatherings for infants and pregnant mothers at Kings' Cross, as well as a self-led childcare group for children aged 1.5 to reception age at North Finchley.
Last year, three new groups were established:
London Birth Seminar for pregnant women and their partners at Kings' Cross
Self-led childcare group teaching Japanese reading and writing for children aged 3 to 12 at Highgate
Japanese song group for children aged 0 to 5 at Finsbury Park
Through these activities, a total of 226 families have participated in Nakayoshikai, and our members have spent many joyful hours with their children.
In 2024, we plan to introduce a new babysitting referral service to further support our mission of eliminating the loneliness and isolation experienced by parents raising children. Additionally, our vision includes reaching out to families with middle and high school students, addressing issues such as school refusal, sex education, and mental health care.
We have prepared various events for 2024, and we invite you to join us with ease 😊
