Happy new year

Happy New Year!

When raising children, it's surprising how quickly a year passes.

For those we met at childbirth classes, new lives have been born, and for those we met at Nakayoshikai activities, your children have grown tremendously over the past year.

2024 was a significant year for Nakayoshikai, with major events that helped increase our visibility among Japanese people in the UK, those with Japanese roots, and Japan enthusiasts more than ever before.

Key Achievements

Sakura Fair: Our first event in April attracted over 1,200 visitors.

Japan Matsuri: Our first booth in October welcomed over 1,000 visitors.

Regular Activities: A total of 300 families participated in our usual activities.

New Initiatives

Launched a group for parents of children aged 5-18 who are home-schooling or have mild developmental differences.

Continued activities for 0-5 year-olds and Hiragana/Katakana learning groups for 3-12 year-olds. We were honored to be invited to the Emperor's reception in June, recognizing our grassroots efforts.

Our Mission

Inheriting the charitable spirit from Nakayoshikai founder Kay, we strive to ensure that Nakayoshikai continues for generations to come, always ready to lend a hand to those in need.

Future Plans

Fundraising: In 2025, we plan to increase efforts to secure donations from corporations and individuals to maintain affordable fees despite rising venue costs in London.

Sakura Fair: The second annual event is scheduled for May 2025.

We will continue our activities to prevent isolation among families with children from pregnancy to 18 years old, to pass on Japanese culture and language, and to protect your smiles.

Thank you for your continued support this year.
